Sunset Cod, Ling and Mackerel for anglers from the Ukraine

It was a pleasure to welcome aboard Anatoliy and his Ukrainian guests a few days ago.

With everything going on in the world at the moment we were hoping for good weather to ensure they had a great trip and some relaxation, before returning back to Ukraine the following week.

The mackerel had dissapeared from our proven inshore spots and we had to work hard to find them, before locating a shoal slightly further offshore.

Once everyone had enjoyed some sport, and had plenty for the pan, we thought we'd treat them to a spot of wreck fishing. The First Mate rigged and baited them up accordingly, and we headed out for short steam.

A lovely ling, and a nice cod came up on the first couple of drifts.

We had an amazing steam home, with flat seas and a fantastic sunset to end the trip.
